This is a village lighting project in Kenya.
On April 2024, Miss Joanna received an solar street lighting inquiry from our website. It is a village lighting project in Kenya, lunched by the local government. Mr. Antony, who sent inquiry on our website, was the engineer of this project .
He mentioned, many villages areas in Kenya have long faced the challenge of insufficient electricity supply, and traditional power grids are expensive to lay and difficult to maintain. This made it inconvenient for people’s daily life and even limit the local development. Therefore, the government planned to install solar lamps for the villages.
This time, the solar street lights would be installed at 8m height, so that it can illuminate more areas. Considering the install height and lighting, Joanna recommended the VS-SSL-I60 model, which can work well in 8m height, can cover 250㎡ area.
At first, Antony was worried about the lighting effect and afraid the lamp could not cover so wide areas. Joanna showed the project video of Mario’s villa (a client from Costa Rica), Antony and his department were satisfied with the performance, and they confirmed to purchase the first test part 560pcs.
After around 30 days production and 50 days shipping, Antony’s team received the lamps and started installation.
The solar street lights have been installed at the yard, road, school, community, which has greatly improved the night travel conditions of local residents and reduced traffic accidents and security risks caused by insufficient lighting. Residents can travel more safely and conveniently at night, and children can go to and from school with confidence on bright roads, enriching the night life of residents.
